Privacy Policy

This page explains what information Tably collects and how it's used.

Who we are

Tably is an independent app. You can reach us anytime at hello@mgmx.io.

What we collect

• Anonymous identifier: we generate an anonymous account ID through Firebase Authentication so your data persists across sessions. We don't ask for your name, email, or any other personal information.
• Financial data you enter: transactions, categories, budgets, and any notes you add. This data is yours.
• Chat messages: the text you send to the in-app AI assistant is transmitted to Anthropic to generate a response. Messages may include the financial entries you've previously logged so the assistant can answer questions about them.
• Voice input: if you use the microphone to dictate a message, the audio is sent to Groq to be transcribed into text. We don't store raw audio after transcription.
• Usage analytics: anonymous events about how the app is used (screens visited, features used) via Firebase Analytics.
• Crash reports: when the app crashes, we receive a diagnostic report via Firebase Crashlytics. This may include device model and OS version.
• Subscription status: if you subscribe, we receive the status of your subscription via RevenueCat and the App Store / Google Play.

How we use your data

• To run the app and keep your data in sync across sessions.
• To answer your messages through the AI assistant.
• To understand which features are useful and fix bugs.
• To manage subscriptions and unlock paid features.

We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising.

Third parties we use

• Firebase (Google): authentication, analytics, crash reporting.
• Anthropic: powers the AI assistant. Messages you send to the chat are transmitted to Anthropic to generate a response. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle this data.
• Groq: transcribes voice input into text. Audio is processed and discarded; we don't keep recordings. See Groq's Privacy Policy for details.
• RevenueCat: manages subscription state and entitlements.
• Apple App Store / Google Play: processes payments. We never see your card details.

We only share data with providers who commit to safeguards comparable to those described in this policy and who use the data solely to deliver the service.

Your consent

Before any text message or voice recording is sent to a third-party AI service (Anthropic or Groq), the app presents a consent screen identifying each service, the specific data shared, and the purpose. You must explicitly agree to this disclosure before the assistant can be used. You can review this Privacy Policy and the providers' own policies from within that screen.

Payments

All payments are processed by Apple or Google through their in-app purchase systems. Tably does not collect or store payment information.

Data retention

We keep your data while you're using the app. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app's settings — once you do, it's removed from our systems within 30 days.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all of your data directly from the app at any time. For any other questions, email hello@mgmx.io.

Children

Tably is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, when appropriate, notify you in the app.
